Temptation and Rejection

I was at a low point;weak physically and morally. The $10 was on the dash and four hungry children, in various states of fussiness, behind me in the van. It was a complete set-up.

"OK kids. Drive-through for lunch."

Our town is small. It has one drive-through. It shall remain nameless for the sake of my whole-foods home-cooking pride. Heck--I'm extremely pregnant and have been having "going to be in active labor in the next 12-24 hours" contractions all day. I deserve a break right?

The drive-through window was closed.

Oh the tears! The wails of sorrow! And that was just me.

[We made it home and had homemade whole-wheat foccacia with tomato sauce instead.]
